works great. My wife finds it more comfortable than the higher pads. It supports her lower back and not her mid back.

Yeah, I put a 2up on mine. Here is a pic. One is with the badlander seat, the other is with a sundowner.

If you can see my QD hardware when I come past, you've got excellent vision!

I actually like that it gives me an attaching point for a bungy cord when the backrest is not on...it works well with my custom driver's backrest.

Quick Question.
Has anyone encountered ANY types of scratches or abrasions due to the Haulin *** backrest and mounting plate? I am thinking of using the backrest BUT I want to also be able to use a solo seat. If and when I go solo, the entire fender will be visible and I would not want to see rubbing points.

Is the pad that comes with the backrest large enough to absorb and prevent scratches?

I have a black Haulin *** backrest for a FXDF that I am looking to sell...with a 4"x6" pad for it...my wife loved it, but she got pregnant and 2 months ago and she won't be riding for awhile...so i'm looking to sell some stuff and do some upgrades on the bike with the money i make selling her seat, back rest, and some other stuff....i have ridden with the haulin *** on my bike for about 9 months and when i took it off last week, not a scratch on the fender...it has a rubber pad you lay down under the metal bracket...worked like a charm...PM me if you are still interested in getting one

Wasn't doubting anyone. Just wanted to clarify. Someone asked if it would work with any seat. I answered that question. Wasn't a dig on you.
