Are you saying you want to completely get rid of the indicator panel? As in no oil PSI, turn signal, neutral, or high beam indications? If so, I dont' see why not. But, if you have an engine problem, it's going to be your problem. HD won't touch it.
Getting rid of the lights want effect how it runs if that what you are asking.
If you would like to keep them you can move the panel down between the speedo and tach. Some guys have also replaced the lights with some individual LED lights and moved them to the console.
Instead of completely getting rid of them, why dont you do something like this:
It is a simple mod and can be done for about 20 bucks. It is a little time consuming but well worth it as far as I am concerned. There is a ton of info on this site for doing the mod, hell if you need help or advice just shoot me a PM and I would be glad to help. Its far better then getting rid of the lights, IMO
