Sorry this isn't a question of "What color should I get?" or, "Do these chaps make my *** look big?", but here it goes.
Installed forward controls on a friend's Street Bob today and everything went fine until after I put the break extension rod, pedal and foot peg on. For some damn reason the break pedal seems very tight and has no spring to it. I know that the bushing/spacer went in very tight, I had to force it together. I tried to adjust the breaks which got me no where. I'm just wondering if anyone else had this problem when installing the forward controls.
The rest of the install went fine, took a little longer than I was hoping but oh well. The break does work and does release but it doesn't just spring back like it should. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The part where you say "I had to force it together".......
I would backtrack to there, and have a closer look.
That's what I was thinkin'. I'm usually not one for reading directions but when the bushing didn't slide in nice I double checked and the directions even had a picture of it. It said to use lubricant and slide the spacer/bushing through the brake pedal and instal the foot peg mount, No amount of lube in the world was going to make this thing slide together. Has anyone else noticed this with a forward control install? It is the HD forward controls.
I had the mid mount controls and installed the HD kit as well but had not problems with the installation. I just checked and my brake pedal actually has an 1/8" to 1/4" slop back and forth on the foot peg shaft. The mastercylinder easily pushes the brake extension rod back on mine. I also don't remember having any problems. Maybe you received parts with too tight of tolerances?
My WG is the same way as yours, maybe tomorrow I'll head over there and see if I can figure something out. I'm sure the problem has something to do with that bushing being so tight, now that I know that not all of them are that tight. Really pissed me off that everything else went so nice and some stupid little thing like this wouldn't fit right.
