this is so bad ***, look how clean the molding work is done on that sucker! just perfectly blending the frame and tins. what a lost art, never see that any more

Have you ever tried any products from Devcon. Years ago I used to heat aluminum parts to about 400f and smear a two part filler, made by them, to fill porosity after sanding. I don't remember the part numbers or what it was called. I just remember that one can was full of white stuff, the other was gray stuff and we called it Devcon..

A lot has changed in the shop since this thread was started years back. We now have complete metal fabrication and a insanely good welder in the shop. We do a ton of all metal body work, dent removal, and custom applications. There are very few metal fillers that can handle multiple heat cycles one that we do use on occasion is called metal lab but things have to have the moon and stars aligned for it to work just right. We prefer do to all metal, this way we can control te finish and out come
