Ok guys here's what I did.................
I didn't like the one and only Sissy Bar Harley had to offer for the FatBob it was to tall for my taste or likes.............
The one you see mounted on my bike is a Mini Rail Sissy Bar......
Harley part # 52738-94A Harley lists it for 04 and later XL's and 06 and later Dyna's with detachable side plates

When I was looking at my limited options for the Fatbob I found that the 52738-94A was 8 7/8 to 8 15/16'' wide on the out side of the bar, I had valready bought the side plates and docking hardware that Harley listed for our bike. So I mounted up the plates and took some measurements, I don't recall exaclty what that measurment was with just the plates sitting there freely but I found that I could easly flex the plates in on each side a little 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch with out touching the fender..........

The Sissybar that Harley lists for the Fat Bob is about 9 5/8'' + or - wide so doing the math the Mini Bar should fit!!!!!!!! So I picked up a Mini Rail Sissy Bar and figured I would give it a go and see how things work out what you see is the result.........

Before I mounted the sissy bar to the side plates I decided I would try to expanded it a little by clamping 1 leg in a vise and used a long piece of pipe for leverage and spread it out ever so slightly about a 1/8 to 1/4'' didn't want to distort the chrome, them I mounted to the side plates and test fit it on the bike. Worked great the first time......
The complete assembly is still a little narrow than what it would have been if I had used the correct width sissy bar but not enought to matter to me. All I do is just flex it (the side plates) a little as I mount it on the bike....
In fact I think that it being a little snug is a good thing less likely to rattle or vibrate.......
When I install it on the docking mounts the front 2 fit in like a glove and the locking ones in the back is where I spread it open to fit on there respective mounts again it only needs spread a little.............
Hope this helps.

Sam

Thank you for sharing HSB. I think many Fatbob owners were discouraged with the lack of sissy bar and back rest options out there.

HSB, second request for part #'s and bottom dollar figure. Im interested, but truth be told, im not feeling the idea of dropping 3-400 dollars on a bracket and leather pad.
Any info would be great.

Second Request??
The sissy bar part # is listed in the posting above, just use the detachable side plates and docking hardware that are listed with the MOCO for the Fatbob........
