OK, I have a 2004 LR which I added forward controls on over the winter. I have 1 problem... I love riding with my feet up on the highway pegs (which is why I made the switch to forwards), but being a little short (5'6") I think I would be more comfortable if I had the pegs moved up closer towards me just a few inches if that. If I'm not mistaken, I think.. someone.. it may be HD, makes a kit which would allow me to bring my pegs up higher to fix this issue I'm having. Does anyone know who makes this or what it's called? Can you post a link of the site I can purchase them from? Thanks for your help.
Try adding some stirrups to your forwards. I got some on mine and they make a HUGE difference. I'm about 5'8 and without them I felt like I was stretching and my legs would get sore because I was pushing them against the pegs to much.
With stirrups, I was able to move my feet a little lower on the pegs since my heel was supported, which also meant I didn't have to push so much against the peg to keep my feet up on it.
You could also try getting a seat that sits you a bit more forward. HD makes a reach seat and you can always have someone mod your seat by adding some foam...
