I am replacing the hand controls (switch housings/levers/master cylinder, etc) with HD's chrome ones.

Just got a call from the shop that the master cylinder cover does not fit because of the fatbob's 1-1/4" handle bars. Apparently the parts manual doesn't say it won't fit

They said the only way to get around it is to buy the whole kit and replace everything instead of just the cover. This would cost an additional $200!!

Anyone run into this and figure out a workaround or know of another parts manufacturer that may have something that works?

Nevermind.... I stopped by the shop after work to take a look. Actually, i'm glad the cover didn't fit. When I ordered it, i thought the cover was going to make it look like the full kit does. Ended up pulling the trigger on the kit. Will post up some pics once done.

 

Mine is in the shop today! I had to go with a 07' and newer touring kit for the dual front brakes & clutch. The switch covers are standard Dyna. I will know tomorrow how it turned out.
