Last week a weird thing happened to me. I went into my local stealer with my better half, since they were busy .. I did the usual wish list shopping.... Thought my wife was behind me.. when I heard her calling me ... shes sitting on a brand new '06 Black Cherry Street Glide, you know the one with the gold rimmed gauges... the one that's $20+++... the saleman is there with her... so I get the usual handshake and a so.. your interested in trading your '06 Super Glide.... WE can give you.... of course the wife in the background sayin' how much prettier and nicer this was then my Glide.... (long story short...) I was setup... My bitchin' about the Dyna recalls... I guess got to my wife... She called HD. All I had to do was sign on the dotted line... I told the guy I'm sorry but I'm keeping my Glide... He was cool no problem... both got a laugh out of it... Wife took it in stride... She really did love the Street Glide so.... me always trying to please the wife... I said, Ok let's buy it with no trade in... her answer ...FAT CHANCE... Geeezzz no sense of Humor... Anyways... I'm a DYNA guy.....[sm=biker2.gif]

It's funny that you posted this..because right now I'm trying to think of a way that I can come up with that 20K for a street glide...to sit in the garage next to my DWG...I'm never trading my wide glide..ever. But I sure would love to have a second bike (harley that is)

Yeah...I'd like to get a Heritage......totally stripped down in vivid black.....no bags, no windshield...just some chrome & laced wheels to ride on Saturdays. I'm actually thinking about selling my boat.

2 years ago I went to the local HD dealer to get a brochure, left with an Electric Glide Standard.
6 months ago I went in to kill some time and saw the 2006 Low rider in the Deep Cobalt and noticed all the new features.
Had to wait for the lease on the Mustang to expire. Then the wife needed a new car.
Finally got her to agree that the last time she got a new car I bought a new bike.
We're both happy now, lol

you guys are awesome. My wife and I are constantly making bargains with each other. But not that kind of bargains. I am like hey I will get you the new jeep if you umm. a few more times a week. she said ya. Ill be damned if that Jeep just didnt pop up in the driveway the next day. So maybe I will try and play that game again when it comes to getting another Harley. Not in the near future though. Just bought the 06 SuperG
