Dumb head answer...do they have a twin cam motor if you look up the specs on the internet? I would think they would both be twin cam engines. I would think they would work.
Thats what I thought. Guy has his ported heads for sale but
told me he didnt think they would fit. I did some searching and found no
definitive answer although I believe they will. So when all else fails at this time of night I ask the real pros here at HDForums.com 24/7
no dont ask the parts guy ask mudpuddle he'd prolly know before the guy behind the counter at the stealer...they most likely wont find it in the parts book.
Looking at S&S's web site they do not specify any difference in models. They do show a break for years though. They list them as fitting 1999-2005 and then 2006 and newer. I bet they would fit.
They will fit without issues. Stock-for-stock they are the same heads. The later model bagger heads are different in that they have a mounting boss on the front cylinder. That was NOT the case in 07 though.

Glad I used the search function Since I'm looking for a set of take-off heads, and have come across quite a few 08 FL heads on ebay I've wondered the same thing except in reverse. 08 FL head on 07 dyna. I've wondered if the 06 heads will fit on the 07+ 96" motors, since the 06's were 88's. <06 won't fit, right? (99-05?)
2006 heads will work well. The change from 88" to 96" was all in the stroke. The cylinders and heads are the same. The cranks, rods and pistons are different. Stay away from the early heads unless you are going to send them off to be ported. They will bolt on but don't flow nearly as well and don't have the beehive springs.
