Hi, I'm getting ready to switch out my stock handlebars (myself). I have the HD Dyna Service Manual and under the handlebar disassembly it says that you have to bleed and completely disassemble the front brake master cylinder. Having never done that before, it seems a little daunting to me. My question is there a way to remove the front master cyclinder without having to go through the entire process of bleeding it, removing all of the seals and replacing them, etc in order to change out the handlebars.
Other insight / advice on clutch removal and throttle removal is also welcomed.
I'm removing the stock handlebars for bars that have 3.25" rise and 3.25" pullback to have a move aggressive look.
don't have to do anything with the brake except put a thin piece of cardboard in the brake
lever to prevent damage to the brake light switch. Squeeze the lever and insert some cardboard in between the end of the lever and the housing. Keep the cylinder upright while changing out the bars. Tilt it too much and air can get into the fluid requiring you to bleed the brakes.
