It really depends on how much you love your bike.I don't love my bikes (I love my wife and kids),so they stay stock. However,I can see many of you real bikers here love your bikes alot so you will waste your money on stupid bolt on parts.(and call them MODS)I am curious about something though.I wonder how many of you real bikers here have been riding more then 2 years?

Twenty years here and I will keep it clean being Easter and all. Good luck to you.
Thanks Fat Bill, Yeah it seems like he doesn't have anything good to say from what I've seen. He says he loves his wife, but from his attitude I don't think she feels the same.
Well he's banned so it's not our problem any more.

Jake: Your bike is awesome....so how long did it take you to get it to it's current state?
Thanks KB. I'd say it took about 16-18 months total. There were moments I'd do a lot at once, and then other times it'd be the small details like every bolt was changed to chrome. Yeah, I know, that's obsessive.
I s'pose some people have a definite picture of what they want their bike to look like, etc and when they reach it they're "done". Me, on the other hand, doesn't see the big picture yet and am changing what I can when I have the cash. I always see something I can tweak. One idea I have is about moving the rear master cylinder onto the forward controls for accessibility, like a softail setup. It's not important so I have that on the "to-do" list.
I planned on just doing the intake and exhaust, then one thing lead to another. Used a lot of parts from other models, and modified some original parts. One good tool to use is Photoshop to get a good idea what would look right on your bike. I used it for almost all my mods so that I wouldn't have any regrets, example below (gauges).
