A week! Why did he hated it that much? Wished he bought the other bike he was considering?
Only the owner could answer that. Maybe his wife / husband said it's me or the bike type ultimatum. Maybe he lost his/her job. maybe a brush with death itself , who knows , but I'd give a pound of flesh before giving up mine!
Incidentally I owned a 2008 sporty 1200C for 4 weeks (1242 miles) before selling it back to the dealer to buy my FatBob.

saw this in the cycle trader a few years ago ; for sale, brand new gsxr 1000, 2 days old 12 miles on bike. Apparentley, do whatever the f. you want does not mean buy a new motorcycle.
I have actually been to that store in the UK where he bought the bike. Probably discovered what the taxes were going to be and decided to get rid of it. Just my opinion here.
My brother saw my bike last year and HAD to have one ! Never rode a motorcycle in his life... he's 39 ! So, he went and bought an '08 883 low, brand new, against my advise. He sat on it the day he got it, started it, kicked it in gear, popped the clutch, dumped it, and NEVER got back on it ! Sold it a few weeks later. It had 40 miles on it, from me riding it home from the dealer.
Last year when I started talking about buying a Harley, I had a buddy decided he would go buy one first. He got a 1200C and was scared to death of it. He kept it longer than the one listed but only out of (pride, stupidty, not sure why really).
He put about 1700 miles (not all with me) on it before I told him I wasnt going to ride with him anymore because I wasnt going to watch him get ran over. I told him if he took the riders course I would give it another chance but he put it for sale instead.
