Going to Walmart tomorrow to buy a Fram oil filter and the cheapest oil I can find. After oil and filter change plan on running the crap out of my Sportster for another 3,000 miles and then do it again 3,000 miles later.
ive used fram and all other walmart crap in all my cars for years. no failures. i love my h.d. but come on folks. Harley products r not the best. all there clothes r made in china and there filters r not made at the harley factory. the question is, who makes a harley oil filter?
but those walmart filters don't rust in the inside.
but seriuosly, I didn't know they had them either and my take is that we really don't know who makes these filters. There's only so many companies making them and rebadge them for other companies.
remember when Harley had the triple platinum plugs? they were made by splitfire until the government went after them for false claims and discontinued them.
