Default How much does your fatbob vibrate?

I just got the 09 fatbob 2 weeks ago and have put 600 miles on it. I notice that my rear view mirrors shake an awful lot. I was cruzing at 65 mph in 5th gear and I cannot see the car behind me. I see vibrating blobs, there was a cop behind me and I could not tell. Is this normal, I don't remember this being a problem on the sporty. I know these things vibrate but damn. It calms down slightly in 6th but still blobs, I can't see distance on the cars. It does go away if I pull in the clutch.. Totally stock

all bikes ive ever ridin at least have a "buzz" to the mirrors... my fatbob has it too, and yes at certain times it can be difficult to tell whats behind you... but ive never really thought it was that bad, in fact its not as bad as my sportster was... however, im thinking that some of the people have done some performance mods that seem to have decreased the amount of vibration overall... perhaps something like that may help you...

I think a lot of that mirror shake is induced by the stock stems. Those things are just a bit too thin. Heck, the billet mirrors on my wife's Evo Softail don't shake as much as my Fat Bob.

Mine is the same the mirrors are a blur, I've had a RK and a Heritage neither vibrated this bad. I am going to try the motor mount adjust, I loosened mine and the gap was about 1/4 inch haven't shimmed it yet though.

No problems with my mirrors, but i've had two sportys so anything is an improvement. I guess I should say that at idle the mirrors have a vibration but still usable.

I take it they are stock mirrors? I changed my stock to a skull set from the HD catalogue and don't have any shake issues.

Most of the time they do not shake to bad. At least I can see if there is something behind me or not, I think that is enough. If I want to check if it is as cop (or some nice looking babe) I simply grab the mirror with my hand and hold it so that it does not shake so much.
