120... had to back it down cause wiht the apes i was like a KITE!... when i slowed down my girl SMOKED past me doing well over 120 on the rocket! now i keep it slow to keep her SLOW! thankfully her rocket is gone now... she just bitches about how slow her bobber is... ah ha ha ha ha

I was on the Kyle Petty Charity ride in 05 and we were out in Wyo. somewhere and on a 6 lane so I figuured I'd air it out because we had police escort 2 miles in front and the same to the rear so there was no way I could get a ticket. I pulled out of line and ran it up to about 108-110 and looked in the rear view and here comes 2 baggers with 2-up each and they were getting big in the rearview quick. They went by me, one on each side at about 120-125 and about a foot or so of clearance each. I wasn't racing but they thought I was so Matt Kenseth and Geoff Greene ( yea the Sprint cup guys) riding built baggers with their wives had to teach me a lesson, we laughed when they found out I was just airing it out a bit, but it is a bit humbling when those baggers, 2-up blew me off that bad and I was alone on my wide glide which is pretty much stock----jack

Speed
I had mine up to 115 on some switchbacks. So... i was laying off her some. Never knew Dyna's handled like this. I was amazed how she palnted and powered though those twistys. But i must come clean.... I was quit buzzed..... never would have tried that sober. I'm just happy i'm here to write this message. Alcohol in, sense out.

Was screamin down a 4 lane where I had a short distance to open her up saw 117 when I noticed a white crown vic (the police interceptor has rated top speed of 130 mph) moving up on me. Unmarked police car pulled along side as my speed was returning to normal. I glanced over as he smiled and flashed me the "V" and took off. My heart rate returned to normal and I obeyed the speed limit for the rest of the day!

just cruising home when day after work, to get the cob webs out i opened her up a bit and maxed out the speedo. slowed her back down to close to legal speeds when i noticed the ole mass state police catching up. he was pissed at me i think mainly because i was losing him. he said he was doing 130 and i was pulling away but think he was exaggerating a bit because i think the crown vics are goverened to 118. i did notice him checking out the motor a few times though
What is the terminal speed of a stock Dyna, I have only V&H slip-ons, was traveling along a nice stretch of straight road at 70 MPH and thought I would see what she could do, so I cranked her full throttle, she just accelerated through 100mph through 110 mph and showed no sign of reaching max speed, that is when I chickened out, so who knows what terminal speed really is and who has been there, I weigh 200lb so am not small but also not super large,

I got up to 120 with 16" apes started to wobble at 90 and worked out at around 100 kept on it to 120, It started to scare me so I backed off!
As another member said I also have just seen a bad crash at only 70 so I wont be going 120 again!
