Baffles
Hello folks, just joined after monitoring this site for awhile. Learned alot from listening to you'all. I just posted on the newbee page and I was wondering if anyone else just knocked out their baffles and liked it?? This is my second harley, the last one was 20 yrs ago (XLS Roadster), and I love it. I'm trying to figure out how to get a picture on here, its an '06 Superglide custom, Glacier White. Love the way it rides, glides right over the road. (is that why they call it a SuperGlide??).
Anyway, thanks for al the great info that I have read, this pagew can get addicting, and so much to do today, house, yard, oilchanges, and oh yes an open house at the local HD dealer. decisions, decisions, I will have to do all.

Welcome to the site you will love this forum, all good people. I knocked out my baffles on my 2004 Superglide. I had the SE slipons installed when I bought the bike new and never really liked them so I put the stock ones back on and knocked out the baffles. I like the sound way better and the performance is the same. My SE slipons are on a shelf in the garage. Not for everybody but I'm happy with them.
get these BigCityThunder baffles for your SEII mufflers and you'll get a much deeper and loud sound

I just bought a set of stock pipes (used) to drill out the baffles. I'm starting small, I put a 1/4 in hole in them. It changed the sound some, but not drastically. It's been raining since I did it so I havent got to really try it out yet.
