I have a 06 FXDI, in black of course, his name is Slugo, so just to make you happy I will forever and ever refer to my Superglide as Slugo. As i refer to my E-G Standard as Travler, that way you shall not be angered when I speak of my Motorbikes.[sm=badbadbad.gif]

The price is good on the Street Bobs, wonder after spending the $$$ on the foward controls, two up, sissy bar and pad........how close you are to price of the FDWG? I bet pretty close Just another way for them to get the $$ they are looking for
If the WG came in black denim and the blacked out features of Bob, I probably would have gone with the WG. I like the bobtail fender and the rake of the forks more on the WG.

I spent around another 570 or so for the sissy bar and pad, bracket, pillion, and a little chome. That brings my total up to $14,320.00 I don't think that's too bad, and I ended up with what I wanted.

I understand the attraction to the Street Bob

I made a 'Street Bob' out of my gloss black EVO Nightrain 7 years ago. 12" Apes, rear lowering kit, low custom seat, full rear fender, blacked out and bad to the bone. Buddies of mine actually questioned why anybody would buy a blacked out Harley but 'got' it once they saw the finished product. It was beautiful.

I say cut the Bob guys some slack. It's a very attractive package for $13,200 and a nice springboard for tons 'o mods. Brought in alot of new riders and they're cutting into the metric copy sales to boot. A win/win for everybody.

ORIGINAL: but Ill try 2 try

If people are tired of hearing about Bobs then lets start a nickname for the Bobs right here. One that can be said over and over again and the sound of the name will be so pleasant as to never annoy anyone. How about we call them, Road Johns or Boulevard Bills, Highway Tom, Alley Mikes. Or maybe we should just refer to Bobs here from now on as X. Our own forum will be called the
X axis. X>N, N being Non Bobs. Viva la X axis.
Thats funny

What is all the whinning and moaning about, they are all Dyna's, and info from Bob owners can and will benefit some Lowrider or WG owners, if you don't want to read about Bobs don't open the post, I read all the posts, and I gain info from all of them. Maybe you non-bob owners are a little jealous of all the chat and excitment generated by the newest member of the fold, but we need the info and input from you other Dyna owners to help us with our new children.

I wanted to trade in the WG for the Bob a couple of months ago, I would have wanted basically what I have now, foward controls, bags, sissy bar and pad, pipes..etc. The wife then started to price out what all I would need to put on there and not knowing what kinda trade they would have given me..... I may still go and check it out

That's why I am keeping it solo as designed. Although the wife wants me to get a cheap *** ride with a passenger seat so she can ride with me. When I mean cheap, I mean an old rice cruiser around $1500. I said no way because she will want to take that out and I'll never get the solo bob ride anymore. Maybe I should of went with the Wide Glide? If they come out with a denim black/blackouted engine WG, I may be switching.
