WHat type of forward controls are you guys putting on your Bob's? Saw Harley had a kit on the web site for a little over three hundred bucks. Is it a major job to put them on?
Dude, if you search this topic you'll find more than enuff info on the subject.
Nutshell:
'06 kit ($300+) is a somewhat involved procedure but yields professional appearance if done correctly. Requires some additional tools and removal of some engine parts.
'05 & earlier kit (<$300) is much easier and is functional, however the finished product is not as 'clean' looking at the aforementioned kit.
Bottom line: One is cheaper, easier to install and seems to work for those who have done it. The other is a little more expensive and takes more effort/tools/ability. Or you can pay the stealer a few hours labor to do it for you and hope THEY do it right.
As far as the Harley stuff is concerned, right side - no problems, left side - difficult.
My suggestion - if you don't have the tools, are not comfortable removing stuff from your scoot or have no idea what you are doing, go see your dealer.
