Default Kuryakyn Sidemount Question

Those of you who've installed the Kuryakyn Sidemount License Plate on your 06 Dyna (<--see, I didn't say "bob")...

1) Did you secure the metal band under the fender with anything other than your hole plugs?
2) What did you use for hole plugs?

Thanks in advance,

Whiffleboy

According to the picture below, which location would be considered "in front of the black clip" - A or B? I'm sketchy on wiring stuff and don't want to get it wrong. [&:]

Thanks again...

So far, the hole plug is OK for the plate on mine. Got mine from Ace Hardware, they match the originals perfectly.

"A" would be what I'd consider "in front of the black plug". I would've assumed you would only want to modify the rear fender harness and not the main harness but that's what the directions say.

After closer inspection, it seems "A", the front, is the only one with 3 black wires. It looks like one black wire running to the back. I think.

Anyway...everything works. Thanks for yall's help.

Installation was actually not too bad, given I'm mechanically declined. It was a little difficult/impossible getting my allen wrench into the top swingarm mount bolt head so I had to resort to some pliers and a lot of loctite. The main plate bolt took a couple of times to thread properly, but, it worked. Running the wire was easy. I ran it along the underside of the swingarm and found a plastic piece on the back of the frame that held the wire going up in to the harness area. Two tie downs on the swingarm and that was it.

For me, on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being extremely difficult), I'd give it a 5. [&:]

Nice Job Whiff! I'm waiting for their curve one without the brake light, available this summer.

Also you're going to have to update you're avatar.
