Default Is this to much?

I went to a motorcycle store the other day and was getting estimates on new bars, cables etc installed. I was told it would be "about" 1K! Is that the going price for installing bars? I thought it was a little...alot pricey.

ha ha ha ha man you can do it yourself for about 1/2 of that... if you pay someone to knock it out... that sounds about right

Figure it to be a 4 to 6 hour job plus the price of bars and cables. It's an easy job, it just takes time. Do it yourself and save the money.

do it yourself. It's not hard, and working on your own bike is pretty rewarding.

Bring it to Iowa. I'll do it for a thousand. I have changed mine at least 8 times.

I just did a bar swap this week. As a comparison heres what i paid. Got me a set of low rise drag bars for $39. Chrome switch housing for $45. Chrome billet grips for $30. Turn signal relocation for $45. And found some guy locally on forum to help (ok he did it entirely by himself) with install for $140. Didn't braid wires....but for internally wiring new bars $299 seemed like a good deal to me.
