Default Warranties

Ok, got my FXDF not too long ago.. Dont have the money for a full exhaust system (re-map, breather, etc..) so I've decided to go with the V&H Straight Shot Slip-On's for now as a temporary thing as it's cheap and easy to do..

My question is, has anyone had problems with dealers and warranties if you do the install yourself??

this is my first harley, so I'm not too familiar with how touchy they are about things.. I know in the state of VA as far as automobiles are concerned, a dealer can't void your entire warranty for any reason, it's selective..

Just curious if anyone has any knowledge on this... Thanks for the insight

Yea, I read through that post and that helped me make my decision.. But I wanted to make sure it isn't going to screw the warranty from a dealers perspective.. I wanted to give the dealer a call to see what they say but I then realized, of course their gonna say bring it to them to do it.. lol

Straight Shot slip on's for Dyna will not fit the FXDF, you will have to go with full system for V&H or look into Rush,Cycle Shack or Krome Werks slip on's that are made specifically to fit the Fat Bob.

As far as warranty goes...Harley can't legally void your warranty for adding slip on's unless they can prove the slip on's caused the warranty issue.
