I made a few changes
I got sick of looking at it the way it was, so I’ve made a few changes to the Super Glide. I junked the passenger pillion, fixed side brackets and sissy bar. I liked the way it was starting to look, and the urge to continue wouldn’t stop. I added detachable hardware for the sissy bar, so if I wanted to put it back on, I could. Then put some Easy Brackets on, and lowered the saddlebags as far as I could go. Since I couldn't stop there, and I was putting a new primary bearing in it, I stripped the powdercoat off the cover and polished it. Thinking a change was needed for the mid controls, I yanked them and put forwards on. Hell, I’m in there anyway, why not do it right?
Thought a crash bar was in order, so here comes a Linby Multibar. Now the Chrome and Rubber pegs didn't look or feel right, so I added Oval Shaker floorboards. Now comes the hard part. I couldn't stand the look of the stock cast wheel, so I sanded my fingers to the bone and polished the wheel. Not so sure I want to abuse myself again and do the rear. The jury’s still out on that one.
The big brown truck is due to deliver the Mustang Vintage Solo seat and detachable passenger pillion this afternoon. That rounds up this weeks fun.
I’ve already put her through the paces, and the floorboard scrape isn’t as bad as I thought. But it sure looks scary when the crash bar gets close to the deck!
I still have to put the mini apes on it, but the weekend is here and I wanna ride. Oh yeah, thats barbecue black on the motor!

It really is a lot of work
Now I know Joe K (whatever his forum ID is) is going to dispute that.

That was one of the biggest reasons for doing it. Lyndall brake pads will keep the dust down while you're thinking about polishing the wheel.
BTW SuperG, whereabouts in SoCal do you hail from? Your bike looks an awful lot like the ones that Glendale rolls off the floor
