First off, a big thanks to the guys that took the Avon plunge and provided input here! Your opinions helped sway my decision on tires.
I got my low some new shoes the other day. I've used Avons on all my sport bikes in the past, so thought I'd finally try them on the HD too. So, I tried the 170 storm on the rear and the stock size cobra on the front. I went for a 125 mile putt yesterday and took the local twisty. They rocked on that stretch! If they wear pretty good, I'll probably stick with them. If not, I might try Metz next time. But, so far, it's a whole new bike! Thanks again!
I'm liking my Storm rear so far. You sure you have a stock size Cobra front? The only 19" Cobra I see is a 120.
An Avon rep at a show last winter scolded me for even considering putting a radial on the front of a Dyna, but I'm glad it's working for you!
