+1 - Avon makes an excellent tire. I had the same set-up on my bike for the past 850 miles and the bike has never handled as good. BTW - I put the 170/60 in the rear.
yup. I put a 170 rear and a 110 front. Love the way they look too.
I switched to the Avon Venoms years ago. Excellent performance tire and much better than the stock Dunlops in the rain.
Has anyone tried the Avon Cobra's? I think they are a fairly new addition to the Avon line. Are they supposed to be a better performance tire than the Venom's?
I have a buddy who loves the Avon Venom X. It's a good handling tire good for about 8,000 miles or so. I am currently running a Michelin Macadam 50 in the rear w/matching tire in the front. Only about 2000 miles on the set, but I like the stickiness & expect that they won't last as long as the stock Dunlops. Nice tires w/continuous centerline grooves that work well in the rain.
