Spinners...
Thanks. Don't think the comments had anything to do with the fact that they were plastic, just not to everyone's liking, but some took it to a level of being insulting. Either way, can't tell to look at them, and besides, Harley puts a cheap plastic HD logo on the FXDB tank that DOES look like plastic. Pfffft.
Personally, don't care if psople don't like em, just when they get insulting about it.
Yeah, I guess. Sometimes, just seems like some border on flaming. I remember a while back a guy who used to post insulting comments frequently, don't even think he rode a bike, but he ended up getting banned and I thought it was safe to go back in the water, LOL. Opinions are cool, I will usually voice my honest one, but respectfully.
Check out all the bikes on this forum. Obviously, there are a LOT of different opinions on how a bike should look. Some times, it's a matter of what someone thinks looks good on *that* particular bike, other times, they won't do something because they think it looks dumb, gay, or whatever - whereas someone else will do that same thing and love it.
So what? Do whatever you want to your bike. If you want to throw it out there and invite opinions, accept that some people won't like what you like. It's not like anyone said they were going to kick your *** and rip your spinners off.
I didn't see your original picture/post before you pulled them but figured the spinners were going to be something over the top. After seeing your pic reposted I was shocked to see what all the comotion was about. I thought I was going to see some 26" rims with diamond chips floating around, no a couple of small blades. I think they look fine...not particularly for me because I'm a basic non-flashy kinda guy. They were definitely not worthy of the flaming (Some of the posted were flaming IMO) I read. Rock on brother...only thing that matters is that you dig em.

It looks like it would fit in with the style of your bike. Good job.
