Thanks again for the kind words! Went out last night while it was raining, retorqued and readjusted the pipes. Got the gap between them even and tight. Looks much better than in the pics.
grizzly, I'm definitely considering the black ceramicoat. It would look awesome.
Street Dennis, They are pretty friggin' loud and I love it!
but I'll try 2 try, It's funny you mention that, I've been heavily eyeballing some custom bikes in a couple of recent magazines that are flat black with red/white pinstriping. I really like `em and am seriously considering it. I really like that Thunder Mountain bobber too! I was thinking red and silver would look nice.
Apparently they're about as scarce as hen's teeth, even though they don't show up in any catalogs. Far as I can tell, J&P and Dennis Kirk don't have them online either. The part number is D254 and they do have the O² sensor bungs. I ordered them through my dealer in February and they just came in.
CraigC,
What tail light do you have on there? I've got the smoked HD turn signal lenses but still need to find a matching tail light. (the pic below is kinda old)
It's a Kuryakyn #4974. Part number 21-1159 at Dennis Kirk. I also got Drag Specialties LED amber bulbs to match. Pretty cool setup. Needed one load equalizer.
