+1 I would have bought some short shots if I had the money at the time, instead I got slash cut cycle shacks ($134 to my door)

Red Devil..... I agree with that. The Only exception might be the PRE 2007 SE II Dual Shorty slash cut slipon's before they neutered the sound. Husband was lucky enough to get them on his 2006 Heritage, and I was lucky enough to find a set ( the Pre-2007 model with THE SOUND have been discontinued by harley and are damn near impossible to find in a NEW FACTORY SEALED box) from a dealer in Oregon for our Daughter's 2006 Heritage she just bought.

JMA epople I spoke to at the beginning of 2008 told me to ride it stock for a year before making any changes. it lets you get to know the thing and in a year you will know ****loads more than you do now just by coming here! I rode out most of the summer last year and got rush 1.75's in late sept. I don't listen all that well...never did! I love 'em but just this past week I'm thinking of a full set. Now the best performance comes from 2 into 1's and I'm looking at bub7 2/1's at the moment,so far i have heard nothing bad about them. They make reinhart if that means anything to you. Deep tone with no rattley agressive sound.

I gotta agree with this. If you want a bit more sound and price is a factor then this would be the way to go. I don't even think a remap is necessary but XIED's might be the answer (?)

I actually did write something to the effect of $300 for slipons...might as well get a full system...but I ended up just chopping it down to what my original post said
