Thunderheader - Quality of finish

Oh, and nice to know they don't give a crap enough to get back to you on their product.

I'm not sure I could have rechromed. The end and the inside of the cone would need to be plugged pretty good so as not to tear up the baffle. If it could be done, and come out looking good, I might think about it.
I don't think painting it black would look good on my bike unless I start the transformation to black.

Anyone else try to get in touch with Rich Products about their TH?
So you can't access the baffle and remove it?

Hopefully Rich products at least refunds your money Vic. That would be your best bet, a replacement set is still going to have crap finish.

As for a replacement, you're right. It'll still have the crappy finish. I'd hate {sic} to get into the powdering everything black and swapping out the apes for some tall drags, sport fairing...I dig that look too. Very street-fighterish. Plus I think my SOA fan club membership and backpatch package is on its way. LMGDAO!!!
one thing I could do is sell it, and put that towards a fatcat. I'm kind of stuck on 2-1's for awhile and the D&D is a nice lookin/sounding setup. Please don't suggest the BR 2-1.

I will have to inspect mine soon after reading others comments in this thread on the
quality of the chrome. So far for me, no issues but I do have the heatshields so maybe
they are covering the rustoleum??
Not to suggest the BR2-1 but I was on that ride yesterday and that pipe
sounds much throatier with the 103 build than my TH with the stock build.
Some just simply dont like the look and I can understand that too as that
pipe is gargantuan. I would have to go with the D&D next if I change mine
out for whatever reason although I hope I dont have too. I will say after
hearing the BR2-1 gong down the road and at our stops I will say it has its
own sound and gets lots of comments from non riders as well.
Let us know when you hear back from the manufacturer.
