Air Cleaner Lid Swap?
Hello,
I just had V+H Big Shots, FuelPAk and a Screamin' Eagle Air filter installed on my 2008 FXDC.
I'm not crazy about the look of the stock air cleaner cover. The way the mounting boss (??) partially shows. (I've attached a photo)
I've seen a couple of 2008 Super Glides with an oval air cleaner lid, with the stock lettering "96 Cubic Inch Dyna Super Glide Custom". I like the looks of that much better. (I've attached a photo I grabbed with my cell phone)
What air cleaner lid do I need? What about the "Super Glide" Trim ring? I've looked through the HD catalog, but can't find it.

I can't help you with the cover, but I know you can get the trim ring. I pulled my stock one off the air cleaner cover a while back to paint the cover. Went to the dealer and told them what year and model my bike was and they got me a replacement trim ring identical to the one that came on the bike, it was about $20.
