Thanks for the input and I will be in contact with the ins today. As far as the meeting it was a mandatory safety meeting I had to be in. The other guy was as upset as I was but when we went out to look he had already contacted our supervisor to come out also and do the accident report. It was on Fed Ex property and they treat it like it was on the street, pictures and all.

So you leave these LED's on when you are in the store or at work on a sunny day?

This is the main reason I try and park as far away from cars as possible! My place of work just designated "bike only" parking spaces right in front of the building. This was all because of me and a few other riders/workers getting done one night and coming out to find our local food vendors truck parked less than a foot away from the frontends of about 10 bikes. But I must give my boss a thumbs up, he went out after that vendor and tore him a you know what for parking so close to the bikes! LOL makes me laugh just thinking about this cause the vendor now parks out in the middle of the lot! Glad the guy stepped up and told you he hit your bike and just didn't take off and not say anything! Seems like you got away with only minor scratches and not anything worse! Would hate to try and replace that tank!

In front of my office we have a nice little chained off square with steel posts every few feet. Bikes couldn't get hit if you tried, sucks when its full though.

Well, I would definitely get insurance involved. I don't know who he is and what he is like but most people i know would flake on the bill.

There is a set of 100th anniversery tins on Ebay now for $2400.00 ouch....
The co worker has been there 15 plus years and is a great guy so I do not think it will be a problem plus we have all of the paper work and pictures to back it up along with his written statement of what happened...

Ouch is right for them tins! Not too many of them around so I would've expected that! If he's there 15+ years, I dont think he's gonna stiff you with the bill. Especially with all the evidence that backs it up. Hope everything works out for you!

One main reason I can't ride to work. 3 Pediatric Dentists/Orthodontists on the 3rd floor...nothing but soccer moms in and out all day in vans & huge SUV's that they can't drive. There was a guy here with a 100th anniversary softail who got hit twice. He finally gave up too. It sucks not having a safe sopt for the bike...but it is worse when some ahole runs your bike over.

I had some blue hair run my Yamaha over back in the 70's at a shopping mall. The old lady was so feeble she didn't even know she hit it and made her escape at 3mph.....nobody had the brains to get her plate number...
