My neighbor saw me working on my SG and asked me to do some service work for him on his Buell XB12X. Since I know nothing about Buells, I searched the internet for a competent Buell tech site and found BadWeatherBikers.com. It’s a good site with a lot of sharp guys that gave me the information I needed. I like HDForums better but they have something that I found interesting: BRAN (Buell Riders Assistance Network).
You can put your name on this list and the area of the country you live in and others can call you for help. I live in Buffalo, NY so if ran into a big problem, I’d look for someone in my area and give them a call.
There are times when I’m stuck and would like an extra pair of hands. Also, new guys would find it comforting knowing that they could call in the “cavalry” if they start a project and then realize that’s too big for them.
Does HDForums have a list like that or is it less formal? What are your thoughts?
Sounds like a good idea...anyone wanna come help me pull the primary off and replace the shift shaft this winter lol...seriously.. =-)
Really I would be on that list.

If you do a search for frozenchrome, he explains how to remove the transmission shift lever without pulling the primary, if that is what you are after. If it is and you can't find the post let me know and I will walk you through it.

Yeah I need to totally replace my transmission housing not the tranny itself but the housing who knows how? lol me to being serious....thanks I would think the fact that they have a support would come in more handy if you are out and about and broke down... im in the midwest and as far as getting stuff done sure it helps but when your on the side of the road and have people along the way that they can call in an emergency that would be even better... yup
Here in the outback of Central Idaho it can be pretty devastating to have a break down at least 150 miles from the nearest HD Shop.....Anyone break down while passing through Stanley IDAHO in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area look me up, my garage and I just might be able to help....
I am in Hampton, VA but I am far from an expert wrench. But, I do have all the tools and a bike jack that can be used if someone needed. At the very least I can offer you a beer and laugh at your troubles
