well the stock bearings will work all i need are spacers made and a 06 -07 wideglide wheel will work with spacers. the hub fits fine in between mid glide forks..
Bearing are not all of the same. I did a lot of research on dependability and quality before purchasing bearings for my line of Carbon Fiber wheels. The last place on earth I would like to be is on the side of the road with either a spun (frozen) bearing that ruined the hub and now you have a really cool key fob or even worse laying on the side of the road.
When giving advice or investigating critical drive parts it is necessary to thoroughly do your homework. There are many classes of sealed bearings and are used from machines in manufacturing as well as your HD motorcycle, different applications, different suitable bearings, and different critia. There is also a wide degree of tolerances as well as quality. The last place I would like to be is in the middle of an interstate on your side and your comment would be "I saved a lot ($3.00) on some unknown bearings, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn".
Do your homework to know for sure. Just my 2 cents from someone who did his homework.
Ok correction i researched my new wheel and its from a sporty not from a wide glide...so i have options i can use the rim and spokes and lace it to my hub or buy bearings and make spacers which do you guys think i shoul do?
I bought the cheap ebay bearings... from a different seller than listed above. I hope I'm not the guy on the side of the road. I guess time will tell, I only have about 1500miles on um so far.
How is that working out for you? Chinese made aren't they?
