The BR is a sweet looking exhaust but I'd do a 2-1 for max power from the new build. I did vote TH but I'd also give a fat cat a try. 
On most dyno sheets I see, the TH has this dip in low range that bothers me a bit. Then of course, in the midrange it rocks. I don't usually see that same dip with a FC/

I voted to keep the BR, too. Like you said, people either love or hate the 2-1 BR. I think they fit the style of your bike very well. Just the right amount of chrome for your bike. Gotta say I'd be curious to see how those FatCats would look, though!
On a side note: I dropped my rear fender off with Frank @ AirFX yesterday. Opened his shop on a Sat just so I could come in for a cheap/boring denim black fender. Really cool guy and is obviously passionate about painting bikes. Said he'd have it back to me by the end of next week.

I voted keep the BR, it sounded very nice and gets lots of looks man. Obviously its all up to YOU. I say no on the Thunderheader as the quality on many of them see to be sub-par as I have read since getting mine. If you truly decide to change that ceramic black Fat Cat to me would flow well with your ride but may be to much black for your liking. I have been contemplating changing exhaust myself and am acutally looking at these.

These arent out YET but the chrome is in which I would want and then I would sale this Thunderheader.

I can do a couple too if you need it Tweakin, mabe Vic can do the t-header (since he's got some pics from his to work with) and I'll do the fatcats. Let me know, if we do a few photoshops for you it will definitely help your decision (other than the money thing of course!).
