Well, I won an auction on ebay last night for Vance & Hines Big Radius. They are pretty new with only 700 miles on them. I am really excited. I do hope I like the sound and will be satisfied this time. Should be better than the SE II Pro slipons anyhow. I know I will like the look. Are there any small performance gains when going with a full exhaust as opposed to slipons? I don't see how there would be but just wondering. Now I have to find a map for the PCIII.
Sorry, I was one of the guys bidding against you! Hope you're not to upset about the price going up! Good purchase.....enjoy em, let me know how they turn out for ya, I've narrowed my choices down to those or a Thunder...I kinda like BUB Jug Huggers too though!
You might see a performance gain on a dyno but you won't feel it on the butt dyno probably. But you will most likely like the sound better and I know you'll like the look better. I started out with some 06 SE II slipons and then went with V&H straightshot slipons and then to the big radius. The sound got better with each change. I don't know what device you are looking for a map for but it should be a very common one for your setup.
Why does ebay call it winning when you have to pay? LOL
Congrats...I bought mine from a forum member, gave me a hell of a deal and was a very good person...I love mine, the looks, the sound all that...I wanna look into getting some BCT Baffles though but i dont know how much the sound will change, I heard they make a more deeper sound? But I Love how loud mine are as they are now
I ended up getting them for $355 plus $60 shipping. Not bad I don't think. Jto667, sorry about outbidding....I wanted them pretty bad but would not have went too much higher. It kinda sucks to outbid others who want it but it sucks being outbid too! No hard feelings I hope. SC, I think I'll be able to get a map. The dynojet website does have one for my setup but the note says if you have 25* injectors some settings have to be changed. I guess I'll get it figured out. I just hope I am not dissappointed by the sound. I don't think I will be. I wish I could make my BCT Monster baffles that I have now fit.
Well, Mr. DynojetResearch hooked me up with a map that has the required changes made to it so I don't have to fool with the buttons. I can't wait to get the new pipes!!!!!!!! I hate waiting.
Jto667, I was torn between the Thunderheader and Big Radius too. I had just about decided to go with the Thunderheader but saw the Big Radius on ebay for what started out as an excellent price. All in all I think it turned out to be a good buy.
Congrats on the pipes!! I'm sure you'll dig 'em. I would definately go with the BCT's on them. Definately a much better sound. I think it makes them a little bit louder and definately less 'tinny'.
Probably be a good idea to install the BCT's before you mount the pipes. May be a little easier...
I wish I could install the BCTs beforehand. I'm pretty sure the ones for my SEII pipes won't work. I have not had the BCTs long at all. I wish I could just swap them for the ones I need the the Big Radius. Looks like the Big Radius baffles from BCT are quite a bit cheaper. Maybe I could sell mine on ebay and recover some of the funds to put toward the ones I need.
