How do you change a thread title? update
I still can't figure out how to update thread titles??
anyone want to point me in the right the direction?

I clicked "edit" on my first post of the thread, then I clicked "go advanced", made my change to title, but it only changes the title of that singular post, not the main thread title, what am I doing wrong?

Only moderators can do that and you need a good reason ....my 2 cents. Like changing your screen name-only they can help. But it's alot of work.

If I can geek-out a little, I'm sure this site is run on a huge sql database and to rename the thread would probably drive the database server crazy.

I thought I'd seen people add an "update" to the end of a title after they had made a change, I guess I'm wrong.

Before they switched to the new software it was possible to change the title, but once they went to vbulletin, it is no longer possible. So check your spelling and titles before you hit the post now button.
