I have the lowrider and I still use the dyna adpaters, but with the sears jack all the way down it slides under just fine, no ramp? I run it under until the ramp hits the jiffystand spring then sit on the bike so its upright and push it under the rest of the way, done! It takes all of about 2 min and its up and strapped. I don't put the jiffy stand up and have never had a reason to do that? As far as strapping when i do that which is usually not needed I just hook on both sides of the jack so one strap is behind the tank and one strap over the upper tree. mojo

Hey WgSkee my friend, if you don't need a ramp, fine. I do! Sounds like others do as well.
My lift doesn't fit under the bike without some elevation help. I only offered my advise if it fits somebody's needs.

To the question of "where are you attaching the tie downs,... without scratching any paint?".
There are two answers.
1) Most lifts have rings of some type that will accept hooks from tie-downs. That's the bottom end.
2) To keep from scratching paint you can buy "Hog-ties" or something which is similar. These are simply nylon straps with loops on both ends. I wrap them over handlebars beyond mirrors then slip the other tie-down hook through both loops.

Nothing crosses my tank. Hell no. Some will secure the back by throwing two tie-downs over the seat, one from each side of the lift. I like another set of Hog-ties, one each around each side of the sissy bar. Then I'm sure that any rough handling on the lift or rolling it around in the garage won't end in a real high-side tip over. That's what makes me shudder. Why take a chance? Oh yeah, it's another $25 that might not be worth it for your $20K MC?

Hey Kpreese:
I looked at it and I think the jiffy stand pad was to far forward. I was able to tap that back. That makes sense!!

MOJO
Do you have the yellow Jack? On mine the front bar between the two support arms hit the spring big time if you try it with the stand down. Using the two X 4 s vertically might solve the problem of clearance. I think this is more info than others have posted elsewhere.

I took the easy, but expensive, way out. i bought a J&S jack that requires no adaptor for the Dyna. I just slide it under the Low Rider and jack it up. No tie downs, ramps, or adaptors. It rolls really easily with the bike on it and lifts it 18".

Nice Machine!!
I will check those out! I'm damned and determined to get this sucker up on this jack. hate to sell it as used and not figure out what the problem is. i like the light weight. And, I have no room for a lift. A few months ago I could jostle these things around until the old back started speaking out. So now I am reminded its better to spend to make things easier than to hurt yourself and not enjoy at all. JIM

By the way check out Cycle Dolly by Merrick Machine on the WEB! Just got mine and it rocks!

commspec, sorry I have the red sears jack so your yellow must sit higher off the ground. Also I don't want anyone to think I was saying "you" don't need a ramp cause obviously all bikes and jacks are different. I know this lowrider is alot tighter to get the jack under then my super glide sport but it does work good for me for the price. You know i did see a good idea that someone else did once and thought I would do it but never have. If you have a cement floor in the garage that is, he mounted a couple cement anchors with fold down tie downs so he can strap his bike to that when it is on the jack and i think he said he does it other times when he wants to work on his bike without it leaning over, not a bad idea really? But i agree there is no sense hurting yur back trying to do this stuff cause that can cost even more then one of these Harleys to repair if that's possible. Wish I lived near by cause i would gladly come give you a hand, Good luck, mojo

I got the HD blocks but there are only 3 of the orange ones and one smaller black one. Why?
