Default Forward Control Extensions

Do you have experience with extensions for forward controls? Kuryakyn offers these for about $179. For only $89, you can buy the extension kit only (not Kuryakyn). I'm curious about the kit only from JP cycles. See the photo below for info. from their catalog.

I used the first kit from kuryakyn. I really liked them, they were way out there. I'm 5'11" and i was almost reaching for them. I just recently took the extensions off and put a set of legend forward controls. Not quite as far out but still comfortable for a tall rider.

The ones from JP make a 2 inch extension. I am concerned that the Kuryakyn ones would be too far out because they make a 3 inch extension. I'm a little concerned about the quality of the ones from JP.

BTW - nice bike. I love the paint/logo. We have similar taste.

first check ebay they have them posted for around $75.00 or more. One word of advice go straight to any empty parking lot and practice your turns before you hit the streets.that 2" makes a big difference.

The kuryakyns are way out there. I noticed when i took mine off that the plates had a slight bend in them. I quess the pressure from pushing the controls put a bend in them. The controls i have now are 2" extended and are not near as far as the kuryakyns. Heres a picture with the kuryakyn kit. The one in the sig is with the legends.

hd2000: The ends of the controls look really close to the back of the front fender. Ever hit your foot on it ?
