I had the compression release put in since I was doing head work.
I had the heads ported and cc the combustion chambers. new valves, sleeves and high performance springs. Valves are 1.9 intake and 1.61 exhaust. 10:1 compression ratio and running cometic gaskets.
I have heard of a lot of starters going south with the high compression engines and the compression releases really help. How exactly do they work when starting the engine, is it an automatic release.
