The Fatbob sat for several months. I would start it on a regular basis and warm up to operating temp. I took out and washed and detailed it the other day. Once complete I had to put it on the charger. Now it will still not start. Turns over fine but sounds like it doesnt want to fire. Checked the plugs and all look fine. Put fresh gas and a little treatment in the tank and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas before I have to take it to HD? Thanks.
do you hear your fuel pump when you turn your switches? if not check your fuses and relays. My system relay went out, it actually functioned but there was corrosion on the contacts. I just took it apart and cleaned it up so I could ride. It took about a week for the dealer to get one in for me. Mine would turn over just fine, but I knew something was wrong, cuz the fuel pump would never come on.
Mine is a problem with the ignition tumbler...06 street bob...when I turn the key and press the run button...sometimes I do not hear the p.o.s.t (supposed to humm for two or three seconds)and it will not start...if I fool around with it I can get it to contact and its ok...waiting for a new one from harley...been 11 days so far...nothing!!!
