Default tank bib removal ?

what secures the tank bib under the gauge housing? any issues removing the bib? I thought I read somewhere that the gasket around the gauge housing can be tricky.

am I the only one with a tank bib that is warped (probably due to heat here in TX)? it stands up and looks stupid. I'm thinking about going w/o and trying to find some weatherstripping for the gap at the gunge housing.

any suggestions or links to aftermarket bibs?

Remove the two screws that secure the dash, lift it up and remove the two serrated locks on the post under side of dash( pry off with small screw driver) and pull off bib. Replace dash and screws, torque to 12 inch pounds.

No issue with gasket, that I know of.

Mines been twisted since I took it home. I pulled it tight with the screw under the seat, but it still raises up.

Mine also stands up probably a little more than a 1/4" at its highest point.
