Makes sense, the WG is the highest priced (except for the CVO) at 3 grand more than any other model and 5 grand more than the entry level dynas. I would guess that the price has more to do with the lower numbers than anything else.

Price prolly has a lot to do with it but I also know quite a few people (myself included) that see the WG as a bike that doesn't quite know what it's trying to be....the Dyna is designed to be a quick handling (for a HD) bike with a small rake etc.....adding the wider forks, longer rake and skinnier front tire takes away from the raison d'etre of the design....The WG just sort of looks pieced together to me rather than a bike that was designed to be what it is......to me it looks like a softail front end stuck on the frame of a dyna (even thought the FXWG actually pre-dates the softail).....then there's the bobtail rear fender which also has it's critics.....all in all it's a bike that just doesn't seem to "work" for a lot of people. This is of course just IMHO and I in no way want to be critical of what others like - just trying to chime in on the question as to why they might sell less WGs than other Dynas......its a bike that most people either love or don't care for - with the majority of people falling into the second category it seems.

A surprising as it may sound, I can actually understand this frame of logic. I personally didn't digg on the bobtail fender for YEARS until recently. I grew up around old FL's with big ole' wrap around fenders and alot of things "added" on as opposed to "taken off". I always thought the Low Rider was the nicest "looking" of the Dyna series for me. I think it was the "chunky feel" of the ride that finally got me. There was something about it that I just liked (even though at the time I didn't really want to). Who knew that a couple of years later i would be riding one? ... lol
