It seems that lowering the rear end is an inevitability on my Bob. However, three times in recent weeks I have scraped the exhaust and one of my mid control pegs. Anybody else with a stock height Low Rider or Bob scrape while turning? Is it worse those of you who have lowered your Dyna's?
I've never scraped my bike while it was stock, and maybe it's because I am not a daredevil on my bike.
I lowered my bike about a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday I finally scraped it while taking a sharp right turn, but not on the pegs, but on the frame that keeps the slip-ons together.
I scrape on tne right side all the time, there is one bolt that sticks down half inch from the muffler bracket. Now I just lower my heel a little on the turns. When it scrapes I back off a bit.
My bike is stock wide glide, lowered must be worse IMHO.
i soften my shocks on my 05 and scap foot pegs. went up one and still did it.and it was'nt like i was trying.in fact it seats low enough that i went to pull in to the little barn where i keep her and reap the kick stand spring off . and now that s---.
