The other day...
I go for a ride since the babysitter (20yo and HOT!) was watchin my daughter. I had planned to hit a few local (within 2hr ride) bike shops for some miscellaneous parts so I can swap my handlebars when they arrive tomorrow without the "dammit, I need...." at 3pm. 
So I hit "Iron Horse Cycles" in Monroe, NC. I had a bad experience with them once and its been awhile so I figure I'd give 'em another shot.
I start talking to the parts guy about some riser bolts. He asks what model, etc. I say ''07 wide glide". He then asks...."Dyna or softail?"
My mouth just dropped open for a moment. I said "dyna. hd doesn't make a "softail wide glide"...they do have a softail with a wide glide front end on it, and thats called the softail custom." I was a little arrogant in my answer to him. He just looks at me, throws his hands up in the air and continues on his search for my parts.
I was going to treat myself to some chrome control covers. $24.99 ea...that's $100 for the set. He said he could only sell them to me with my old ones for exchange. So I walked out with a clutch cover gasket and some grip glue. They did have a good selection of saddlebags, windshields,etc in good used condition.
I also hit Ben's Vtwin in Matthews, NC. Man, the mechanic there talked to me for over an hour about stuff. Plus they had two old hd's. One was a WWII bike in top running shape. I didn't ask the price but I can post a pic of it if y'all like. I was asking him about doin the cam swap and what I'd need to do it, parts-wise. He gave me good tips.
Both of these shops are on the east side of Charlotte, down independance blvd.

I went into an indy shop this weekend that is right next door to the harley dealer where I bought my bike. I want to get a set of Rush slip on's and I was thinking I would try and support the 'little guy'. I go in and ask him "Can you guys order me a set of Rush slip on's with 2 inch baffles for an 09 FXDF HD?" He looks at me says he's not sure. He walks over to his parts catalogues and starts thumbing through them. After he gets through one book he looks up and asks, "what are rush slip ons?
Needless to say I didn't buy anything from him.

Young hot chics rule! I pull into the driveway the other day after work about 2pm and the neighbor across the streets daughter (18-19ish...I think!!!!) is out....with her 2 other g/f's getting some sun in the front yard in their bikinis.....oh to be young again!!
