Was looking for a streetglide...but still a bit too much for my wallet. In the hunt though found an 05 RKC with 15000 miles for an awesome unreal price. I have done everything to my 06 lowrider that I can and wife still gets such a buzz from rear mounts (floorboards now, not pegs anymore) , sundowner seat with Mean City cycles memory foam mod, etc. that when she rides her teeth chatter and she cannot read the signs...this is more at 3000 rpm, so highway speed and such...
Does anyone have any views good or bad on what we would think of a RKC and let our lowrider go to another good single rider?
Why don't you look at changing out the front motor mount or removing the pre-load on there. Do a search for the threads on pre-loads. Also look in them air shocks, that could fix things also.
Have you done any mods to the engine? When I did the PC3, A/C and cams it smoothed out a bunch. This is compared to a stock bike. I think it was due to richening the mixture because I changed from SE slip ons to Cobra pipes with out re-mapping and picked up more vibes.
75k miles on my RKC, about half of the two-up and loaded with luggage. Personally, I wouldn't trade it for a new Lowrider, even with a cushy seat, windshield, bags, and luggage rack.
I,ll try to keep this brief,I have the same issue with my 07'FXD,it's in my Dealer now trying to get it sorted (I hope),the bikes as rough as a bears **** at 65-70 in 6th,I have to ride at 85 plus before it smooths out. It's in the dealers now because I rode an 09 on a demo truck day whish was smoother as soon as the the throttle was opened & at 65,was smoother than my bike at 85,it if dosen't get sorted it's gone. Why they ever attached the rear footrests to the drive train & not the frame is beyond me.
We got the RKClassic last year to get my wife more comfortable than on my Dyna. We also got a detachable Tourpak to give her a bit more comfort. No regrets at all for the long runs.
I have a co-worker that has one and swears by it! He claims, take the w/s off, and you have an around town bike. W/S back on, and now a touring bike.
I haven't had a chance to ride it yet, maybe one of these days, but the reasoning is sound, not to mention the B motor!
But, as others have said, check the isolator mounts and do the alignment, should help. I see you have slip ons, what tuner/tune are you using? That could have something to do with it as well.
Good luck!
Mike

We had a similar problem. Low rider was just too uncomfortable for the wife after a few years, even with a Corbin touring seat. We're in our 50's now and just needed a better ride for her. She'd get terrible leg pains after a few hours and we'd have to stop and stretch. The FLHRC solved all that. The Road King, whichever model you get is a wonderful ride. I love it because it's versatile (windshield on or off) changes the look totally. I made my 00' into a solo bike and it's great for going out when it's guys' night.
