On my 09 Low Rider the bolt anchoring the rear of the tank to the frame was missing and the clank sounded like it was coming from the front forks. Put in a bolt and tightened it down and all is now blissfully quiet when going over bumps and railroad tracks.

Got the socket and a little more than a 1/4 turn maybe a 1/3 out of the stem nut.
No more clunk!

Default Front end clank
Mine started this weekend while 150 miles out from home got so bad could not ride it home. The noise comes from the center front at the big chrome nut .Its at the dealer now for service and I hope they fix it ,just sounds bad .

Yeah, my 09 FXDC has the left side clank, too....nothing bad but more annoying than anything else when I go over bumps, etc.

Check the rubber bumper on the frame under the primary and see if the jiffy stand is hitting it or the frame.
