Default Fork seals FXDL

Bought a 2008 Low Rider last year. From day one there seemed to be an oil leak from both sides of forks. Even after about 10 miles there would be a ring around the forks at the point of highest compression. A light smear of oil from there on down. Took it to the dealer. They said there wasn't any oil on the top of sealer cups so they said this was normal. I know it's not normal. Never seen this on my other bikes. Does seem odd that both leak equally. They look exactly the same after a ride. Maybe one would be bad, but both? Dealers probably trying to get out of a warranty repair. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks.

Dealers make good money on a legitimate warranty repair.

I believe what you are experiencing is normal as a thin layer is acceptable. If it runs, you can push the remains to a puddle with your finger, or it pools on top of the seals, then you have a leakage.

Just an opinion.
