I was shopping around on ebay last night and found a new Screamin Eagle Fork Brace for my 06 SG for $100 buy it now. I swooped on that one. Can't wait to get it. I've been looking for one in that price range on ebay for awhile. I passed on one awhile back for $60 used and have been kicking my tail since then. I hear they really help stabilize the front through the twisties. Can't wait to get it.

Oh wow! Nice find for sure! You'll love it man. To me, it made all the difference in the world. Now, the thought of ever taking it off hasn't even crossed my mind. I don't think I'll own another bike that doesn't have a fork brace. Best bang for your buck indeed.

 

I've been looking at getting this mod as well...but I will probably get some new handlebars and saddlebags first.

 

Adrian, that's good to hear. I was wondering if the $199 price tag was worth it. I couldn't imagine that it could make too much difference but I kept seeing people on here say that it made a lot of difference. I didn't want to pay that much though so I've been searching ebay every so often for several months waiting to find one at a decent price. I finally found it. The bidding started at $20 but I didn't want to wait around for someone else to buy it now. $100 seemed like a good price for it so I snagged it. Now the waiting begins! I hate waiting for new parts to arrive.

Good find indeed. You'll be happy with the improvements. I noticed immediately when I hit my first bit of hard cornering. It just makes the front of the bike much more stable. Really tightens it up. The wait will more then likely suck... LOL not gunna lie! BUT, it will be worth it. And its a quick 5 minute install as well. Very easy.
