Default Installing sissy bar on street bob

I hate to belabor the installation threads, but I just purchased a 07 street bob a month ago and am trying to make it wife-friendly. I have put a two-up seat on and bought a back rest sissy bar to put on the bike. Do I have to relocate my turn signals to put the side plates on? I searched, but really couldn't find exactly what I needed.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I recently installed rigid plates on my '08 FXDB and did not have to relocate signals. The long bolts that hold the sigs in just need patience to get in and out, but do-able.

Good luck.

dont have to relocate sigs... but you will want to put the bike on a jack and/or take the air out of the tire so those long bolts come out easier!!!

+1 on letting the air out of the tire to get the long sig bolts out. I just relocated my turn signals and put on easy brackets. I discovered this info the hard way (half way throught).

Here are threads to the problem, I did not let the air out. You have to want to do it. It helps if you have someone to left up on the fender.

I just installed a short backrest on my super glide over the weekend for my girlfriend, and it really wasn't that big of a deal. A little uncomfortable position for a bit to get the bolts in and out, but not that bad. Shouldn't be too big of a job for you. Ratchet wrenches really help too.

Don't have to move the lights for the side plates - See sig.
