Go to YouTube and search on "paintless dent removal"...watch a few of the vids posted there, then see if you can find a local "artist" with those tools. Good luck.
They told me they have a 50% success rate in getting a perfect repair. It depends on the dent and its location. You would need to remove the tank and ship it to them. The local dent guy my dealership referred me to was nice enough but was not adequately equipped to work on motorcycles. I found him pushing out dents in autos outdoors in his parking lot. There was nothing available at his shop to secure a bike for dent repair. I spoke a little more to the service rep at the dealership and at least his experience was that the dent repairs were often not very good. I figured the cost of the dealer removing and then re-installing a repaired tank plus shipping charges to dentkraft at about 200-300, plus an additional 200 for a successful repair. You probably don't want to hear this but in the end I bagged it and replaced the tank with a new one.
Heat the dent with a hair dryer and then rub dry ice on it. Remove the fuel cap before you heat the tank and keep the hair dryer away from the fumes. Do this is a well ventillated area.
