Default Seats

I've been searching for a while and can't seem to find anything definitive on this.

My bike has a 2-up seat on it with a pretty tall/thick passenger seat area (as you can see in my sig. pic). My wife is pregnant so she won't be riding for a while, so I've been looking for either a stock solo seat or a 2-up seat with a thinner passenger seat area, as I like the look of bikes that look low in the back.

However, my bike is a '96 and I have no clue what year seats fit what year models. Anyone know this info? Thanks.

edit - I also wouldn't mind a seat that sat me a little further back, as my legs are still pretty bent even with the forward controls.

96 to 03 seats should work with the exception of Wide Glide seats.

Typically seats range

91 to 95 minus wideglide
96 to 03 minus wideglide
04 to 05 minus wideglide
06 and up including wide glide

Funny that you should post in this thread because your seat is one of the seats with a thick passenger area that I actually like.

Just checked it out on google, very nice seat. Way too expensive for me though (that's why I was looking at some stock seats), since I'm sort of looking at a sort of temporary thing (until my wife starts riding with me again at some point).

Too bad the year model thing keeps them from working or the stock Fat Bob seat really isn't too bad.

Actually what I said doesn't really make sense. If I came across a 2-up seat that I really liked for a good deal, I could buy it and make it my permanent seat.

But if I find a solo seat then it will be temporary. All in all I'm really not looking to spend much money right now.

I have a C&C fastback seat I'm not using now. It has the flames in the front 1/2. It's in as new condition and I'd sell/ship it for $225 to anyplace in the lower US...just offering.

Ok now I guess the question is where can I actually find a relatively cheap solo seat for this bike? Did the 1996 Super Glide even come with a solo seat? I've got a thread in the Want to Buy section but it has 3 views in 3 days.
